Happy Easter

Hi Everyone,

Happy Easter!  Anika enjoyed her Easter Egg Hunt and Makenna slept through it:)

Anika woke me up this morning with chocolate around her mouth and she said, "Mommy, I found something on the table downstairs."   I asked her if the Easter Bunny came and she said, "No."  She didn't realize the chocolates she found downstairs were from the Easter Bunny!  When we came downstairs and around the corner she saw the basket and more chocolates around and then she realized the Easter Bunny did indeed come.

These are the remnants of Anika's initial find!  She unwrapped so many chocolates on her own and who knows how many she ate!  Luckily she didn't go around the corner and find the rest of them without us there.

Anika loved cleaning the windows to the deck with her very own scrub brush:)  She is such a great helper.  Hopefully that continues well into her teenage years (wishful thinking I guess?)

Makenna didn't get involved in these activities today and so was not in the photos.  I guess we made up for mostly photographing Makenna the past couple of weeks.  Makenna actually has Anika's cold now which is too bad.  She is still as cute as can be but the nasal congestion is tough to see/hear in such a little person.   Makenna is getting held a lot as she seems to prefer that to sleeping flat which we can understand why.  Hopefully she gets over this cold quickly and bounces back to her regular self soon.  I am sure she will.
