November 2007 Update

Hi Everyone Again,

I am still working on layout issues.  Hopefully I will get better later:)

It seems that October Hockey month went a little into November.  Here are a few hockey photos from this month:)

Anika actually does really LOVE hockey.  She squeals like a teenager if she sees a glimpse of hockey on the TV when I am changing channels.  I try to get the channel off of hockey before she sees it so that I can watch something else but she gets really upset and wonders where the hockey went.  I think Ken loves it:)

Anika said she was working when we asked her what she was doing.  Too funny:)

Still no progress on the potty training.  She is willing to try but she still has not produced anything.

Anika likes to help me.  She actually tried to vacuum the other day:)

I think November was friendship month for Anika.  She played with a lot of different friends this month including her dolls which you can see in the photo.  She moved her chairs from the kitchen and put them up close to the TV and then put her doll, Cindy, in one chair and herself in the other and put the blanket over their legs.  It was too cute.

It was a great month having time with so many friends.

One day in the summer when Anika was playing at the train table in our local mall another mother who was watching her kids asked me if Anika had a lot of friends. I don't know remember how that came up but I was mortified to have to say, "No."  My friends all have kids that are older and in the playgroups you are so busy watching and chasing after your child that it is not very easy to sit back and relax and make new friends with the other people who have kids the same age as yours.  It was the first time that I realized that Anika doesn't really have friends her age.   Well, this month showed me that she does indeed have friends.   We just don't get to see them that often.   Hopefully we will see more of them:)

Well, that is all for November.  Take Care, Love Jennifer (and Ken and Anika)  :)
