Fun Times

Hi All,

It has been a fun few weeks since our last blog.  Anika is now potty trained (at home at least).  It is still a risk to go out without a pull-up on:)  Makenna now laughs when tickled, 'talks' all the time,  I had a 38th birthday and Ken and I both went to Vegas with friends on two separate weekends.  Wow, we have been busy.

I went to Vegas first with some girlfriends.  It was a great little holiday.  We went to the pool each day until the afternoon, then got showered up and went shopping until closing at 9pm and then come back, got dressed up a bit to go for dinner and ...  It was a great girls' weekend away!  The best part was coming home and Ken saying that he has new found respect for what I do!!

A going out photo - Well, we were dressed up for dancing but that kind of got vetoed by half the group so we went back to the room and put casual clothes on to go to the casino.  I am actually sitting in the poker room here with Sandra, Wendy and Erin.  I won a couple hands but that was about it.  

Well for some reason there are no photos from Ken's weekend in Vegas with his hockey team buddies?  

I went up to Gibsons and visited my parents while Ken was away.

Well, after all the spoiling and lounging Anika got to work helping Grandpa water the plants (above) and helping Grandma cut strawberries for Rhubarb-Strawberry pie (below).  Yummy!

We made the most of the good weather we had in Gibsons.  We were either at the beach or on my parents deck during any time that it was sunny or at least not raining.  We are still waiting for summer to arrive!
