Well, It's Official!

   Hi All,

I am out of order again.  My summary of the past little while is after the photos.  I will figure this all out one day:)

Jess and Dave on their way out to enjoy some night life

Makenna often has one arm up - perhaps she gets this from Jess:)

Thank you Hailey, Danny, Auntie Sandy and Uncle Carl for the cute T-shirt:)

Anika and Cameron watching Naomi feed Makenna - I don't know where she found the time to do this between all the dinners she cooked and 10 loads of laundry she did!!

Makenna is now a permanent member of our family!  We feel so lucky to have such a beautiful little baby join our family and to have such friendly and open birth parents.  Although the papers had to get 're-signed' because they were not actually presented to Jess and Dave the first time, the transition went quite smoothly.  We had lots of time with Jessie and Dave at the hospital when Makenna was born and they came out last week and visited.  It was great for them to see where Makenna will be living and what her room looks like and see how we do things around here.  Now it will be easier for them to picture things when we talk and email.  They are excited for Makenna to be joining our family and we are excited and thrilled to have her join us.  She is a little sweetheart.  Anika calls Makenna her friend and likes to show her things and give her hugs and kisses.  Anika loves her little sister already.  We have had company pretty much since we got home from Edmonton in mid-March.  I think that made the transition for Anika easier as I have been able to give her lots of attention in hopes of reducing any feelings of jealousy.   It seems to be working so far...we will see.  This will be the first week without any help from others.  Tonight went very smoothly as Makenna listened to the bedtime stories for Anika and slept for the songs.  Hopefully everyone sleeps well tonight.  I am crossing my fingers ( and toes).   Take Care,
Love Jennifer ( Ken, Anika and Makenna):)
